Terms & Conditions
These seller-facing terms (the "Terms") explain how photographers and visual storytellers ("Sellers") may submit proposals, license work, and receive payment through The Story Wall ("we," "us," or the "Platform"). By submitting a proposal, checking the agreement box in the seller proposal form, or otherwise offering work for sale, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility & Account Responsibilities
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into binding contracts.
- You warrant that all information provided in the seller proposal form and subsequent onboarding steps is accurate, complete, and kept up to date. We may request verification materials and decline or suspend participation if information is inaccurate or misleading.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of any credentials we provide and for all activity that occurs under your seller profile.
2. Proposal Submission & Asset Delivery
- Proposals must outline the stories, editions, and pricing suggestions you wish to offer, along with representative portfolio links. You agree to respond promptly to follow-up questions from our curation team.
- If a proposal is accepted, you will provide high-resolution assets, model or property releases where applicable, captions, and any metadata needed to publish the work. Files must meet the technical specifications provided during onboarding.
- You confirm that no submitted asset infringes the rights of third parties and that all subjects have granted the necessary permissions for the intended uses described in these Terms.
3. Usage Rights & Licensing
- You grant the Platform a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, market, and sell the listed assets, and to use derivative previews or mock-ups for promotional purposes related to your work and the Platform.
- Editions and license types (personal display, commercial usage, or exclusive releases) will be mutually agreed upon in writing. Exclusive releases remove assets from public sale after the edition sells out, but we may retain archival and marketing references to past campaigns.
- You retain ownership of your work. Buyers receive only the rights explicitly described in the product listing and accompanying license.
4. Pricing, Fees & Payment Cadence
- Final retail pricing, edition sizes, and any promotional discounts are determined collaboratively between you and our merchandising team. We will share written confirmation before listings go live.
- We deduct the agreed-upon platform commission and any transactional fees from each sale. Unless otherwise specified, the standard revenue split is shared in the onboarding email linked to your accepted proposal.
- Payouts are issued within fifteen (15) days after the end of each calendar month for orders fulfilled during that month, provided cumulative earnings exceed the minimum payout threshold communicated during onboarding. Amounts below the threshold roll over to the next cycle.
- You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or reporting obligations associated with your earnings. We may request tax documentation before releasing payouts and may withhold amounts as required by law.
5. Order Fulfillment & Customer Support
- For print-on-demand or digital delivery fulfilled by the Platform, we will manage production and customer service. You agree to cooperate on quality review and promptly flag any defects or issues you observe.
- If you are responsible for fulfillment (as stated in the onboarding materials), you must ship or deliver assets within the agreed timelines, provide tracking information when applicable, and maintain quality standards.
- Refunds or replacements resulting from seller error or failure to meet specifications may be charged back against future payouts.
6. Privacy & Data Use
- We use the contact and portfolio information you submit to review proposals, coordinate onboarding, process payments, and provide support. Our handling of personal data is further described in our Privacy Notice.
- You agree to keep any buyer information you receive confidential and to use it solely for fulfilling orders or providing customer assistance in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

7. Liability & Indemnification
- Each party is responsible for its own acts and omissions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
- You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, or costs arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) alleged infringement or misappropriation by your work, or (c) fulfillment issues attributable to you.
8. Term, Suspension & Termination
- These Terms begin when you submit a proposal and continue until terminated by either party. You may request removal of listings with reasonable notice to allow us to fulfill existing orders.
- We may suspend or terminate your participation at any time if you breach these Terms, fail to meet quality standards, or engage in conduct that may harm the Platform or its community.
- Upon termination, we will cease marketing your work and process any pending payouts, subject to lawful offsets. Licenses previously granted to buyers remain in effect.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect legal, operational, or product changes. Material updates will be communicated to active sellers via email or through the seller dashboard at least ten (10) days before they take effect. Your continued participation after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
