Journal from the Terraces of Ubud
July 28, 2024 • Ubud, Indonesia
Morning on the terraces
Sara Lindholm guided us along narrow earthen paths as the first workers checked water levels. The "Ubud Rice Terraces" print holds the moment when sun cracked through palm fronds and turned the paddies into mirrors.
Listening to the subak
Bali's irrigation chants are as rhythmic as any song. We recorded their cadence in notes that later shaped our color grading—emerald greens softened by mist, earth tones warmed by incense curling from a nearby shrine.
Designing with calm
This story invites breathing room. Place it where you meditate or read; its layered greens and gentle lines create a pocket of stillness inside any room.
